Psalm 1:1-3
1 Blessed is the one that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,
To walk in the counsel of the ungodly means to listen to advise that are not in line with the Word of God.
A happy and blessed child reads the Bible daily, knows the Word of God and walks according to the teachings and guidance.
nor standeth in the way of sinners,
To stand in the ways of sinners mean to do things in an ungodly way like – lying, cheating, stealing, fighting, disobedience and every unrighteous act that could make God unhappy with us.
God blesses us when we don’t walk or make friends with bad people….
nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
To sit in the seat of the scornful means to make friends with people that make jests or say bad and disrespectful things about God and others. Doing dishonorable things as such does not attract blessings from God.
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditates day and night.
God is happy when we study His Word and think about it all the time. And we are happy too…
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
When we do this, we are like a tree planted by the rivers of water, it bears it fruits regularly and the leaves are always green.
We would be so BLESSED and everything we do will be PROSPEROUS.…
